Beschrijving van MBBR:

Wij zijn een grote fabrikant en een leverancier van MBBR-media, biomedia, fab media, biomedia en reactorenmedia.

Het MBBR-systeem wordt beschouwd een als biofilmproces. Andere conventionele biofilmprocessen voor waterzuiveringsinstallatie worden genoemd druppelende filter, die biologische schakelaar (RBC) roteren en biologische geluchte filter (BAF). De Biofilmprocessen vereisen in het algemeen minder ruimte dan de geactiveerde moddersystemen omdat de biomassa meer geconcentreerd is, en de efficiency van het systeem van de definitieve modderscheiding minder afhankelijk zijn. Een nadeel met andere biofilmprocessen is dat zij het bioclogging en opeenhoping van headloss ervaren.

MBBR-de systemen vergen geen recycling van de modder, die het geval met geactiveerde moddersystemen is.
